Our policy

Duffy Rx LLC dba Statmeds complies with applicable federal civil rights laws, including Section 1557 of the Affordable Care Act, and with the New York State Human Rights Law. We do not exclude people or treat them differently because of race, color, national origin, age, disability, sex, creed, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, marital status, military status, or any other characteristic protected by law.

Free aids and services

• Free aids and services for people with disabilities to communicate effectively with us, such as qualified sign language interpreters and written information in other formats, including large print and accessible electronic formats.
• Free language services for people whose primary language isn’t English, such as qualified interpreters and information written in other languages.

How to file a grievance

If you believe we failed to provide these services or discriminated in another way, you can file a grievance with our Compliance Coordinator, who coordinates our compliance with Section 1557 and handles these grievances.

1. How to file. Send or bring your grievance to the address below, in person, by mail or by fax. Include your name, how to reach you, what happened, when it happened and who was involved. If you need help writing it, including through an interpreter or in another format, call (516) 900-0636 and we’ll help.
2. When to file. File within 60 days of the date you became aware of the problem.
3. Our response. The Compliance Coordinator will look into your grievance and send you a written decision, with the reasons for it, within 30 days of receiving it.
4. Appeal. If you disagree with the decision, you can appeal in writing to the same address within 15 days of receiving it. Pharmacy management will review the appeal and send you a written decision within 30 days.

We won’t retaliate against anyone for filing a grievance or taking part in an investigation. We keep grievances confidential and share them only as needed to investigate or as the law requires. Using this procedure doesn’t stop you from filing a complaint with the agencies below at any time.
