Not medical advice; emergencies
Content on this website, including health news, is general information. It isn’t medical advice and doesn’t replace the judgment of your prescriber or pharmacist. Don’t start, stop or change a medication based on website content. Don’t use this website or our forms for emergencies. Call 911 or go to the nearest emergency room. For a possible poisoning, call Poison Control at 1-800-222-1222.
Online prescription requests
- A refill, transfer or new patient request isn’t a prescription. We fill only valid prescriptions issued by a licensed prescriber, verified as required by federal and New York law.
- Our pharmacists use professional judgment and may decline or delay a fill when required by law or when it’s in the patient’s interest, for example after a drug utilization review or Prescription Monitoring Program check.
- Controlled substances must be e-prescribed under New York’s I-STOP law, with limited exceptions, and may be transferred only as federal and New York rules permit.
- Some medications are subject to FDA REMS programs or limited distribution and may not be available from us. We’ll tell you if that’s the case.
- Request times aren’t guaranteed. We process requests during business hours.
- You confirm that information you submit is accurate and that you are the patient or are legally authorized to act for the patient.
Insurance, pricing and payment
- We accept most insurance plans, but network participation changes. Your health plan, not Statmeds, decides what it covers and what you owe.
- Price quotes, including cash prices, are estimates until the prescription is processed and may change with plan, manufacturer or supply-chain changes.
- If our cash price is lower than your copay, we’ll tell you. Medicare patients: cash purchases made outside your Part D plan may not count toward your plan’s out-of-pocket costs.
- We don’t routinely waive copays or deductibles, and we don’t offer anything of value to induce you to choose our pharmacy for items paid by Medicare, Medicaid or other government programs.
- Manufacturer copay programs are subject to the manufacturer’s eligibility terms. Manufacturer copay coupons generally can’t be used for prescriptions paid by Medicare, Medicaid or other federal health programs.
Prior authorization support
We help coordinate prior authorizations, step-therapy and formulary exception requests with your prescriber and health plan. Clinical documentation must come from your prescriber, and coverage decisions are made by your health plan. We can’t guarantee approval or a decision timeline.
Delivery
- Free delivery throughout the tri-state area: New York State (including Long Island and all five New York City boroughs), New Jersey and Connecticut. Delivery is free for every patient, whatever their insurance or payment method.
- Delivery days and windows depend on location, stock and time of request. We’ll confirm timing with you.
- Certain medications, including controlled substances and some refrigerated or high-cost items, may require a signature from the patient or an authorized adult.
- Please check your delivery promptly and tell us right away about any problem. Under New York law, dispensed medications generally can’t be returned to stock once they leave the pharmacy.
- We may change our delivery area or schedule. Changes will be posted on this website.
