Homes here are mostly pre-war elevator buildings and walk-ups, some reached by steep streets and stairways. Statmeds Pharmacy fills prescriptions at our Hicksville pharmacy and delivers them uptown without charge. We fill for every specialty, accept most insurance, and coordinate with prescribers when a plan asks for prior authorization.

Next door to Columbia’s medical campus

NewYork-Presbyterian/Columbia University Irving Medical Center anchors the neighborhood around West 168th Street, along with NewYork-Presbyterian Morgan Stanley Children’s Hospital. Farther north, NewYork-Presbyterian Allen Hospital sits at Broadway and West 220th Street in Inwood. Clinics and practices are spread through the blocks around both campuses. Patients treated at either can have their prescriptions sent to Statmeds Pharmacy, by e-prescription to the Hicksville address or by fax to (877) 961-1116 for non-controlled medications.

Pre-war buildings, hills and stairways

Much of Washington Heights is made up of five- and six-story pre-war apartment buildings, some with elevators and a live-in super, others walk-ups with a buzzer panel at the door. Hudson Heights adds Art Deco elevator buildings and the occasional doorman. Whatever your building, give us the apartment number, floor and entrance to use, especially if your street sits at the top of a hill or a stairway. Refrigerated items are packed in temperature-controlled packaging, and a signature may be needed for controlled substances.

Can a prescription from my doctor at Columbia be delivered to Washington Heights?

Yes. Patients treated at NewYork-Presbyterian/Columbia can have prescriptions e-prescribed to Statmeds Pharmacy at 399 W John St Ste 100, Hicksville. We fill the prescription and deliver it free to your apartment uptown.

My building has no elevator. Is that a problem?

Not for ordering. Tell us your floor and apartment number, plus any buzzer quirks, so we can plan the delivery. Controlled substances and certain other prescriptions may need a signature, so someone should be home to receive them.
